Originally named "The Hero Within." The first card design, in tandem with The Birth of a Hero. The design (face value, effect) hasn't changed since the beginning. The game was largely balanced around this card. Heroic represents the tension between individuality and community. What it means to be a hero comes from within, but acts of heroism are validated by its impact on others. The human experience is often a tension between self-care and care for those around us.
